ANTARA TEKS AGAMA DAN NALAR

        Teks keagamaan (baca: al Qur’an) memang bak magnet, mungkin karena menawarkan spiritualitas, berhasil menyedot perhatian umat dan sering kali menjadi “remot kontrol” nalar umat beragama dengan “menendang” rasionalitas. Pada tahap selanjutnya, umat beragama sedemikian kokoh menjadikan teks-teks keagamaan sebagai sesuatu yang sakral, mutlak dan otoritatif sehingga merelakan akal budinya tunduk dibawah bayang-bayang teks-teks keagamaan tanpa ada kritik dan reserve (menjaga jarak dengan teks).

        Kalau kemudian teks keagamaan itu terlihat “renta”, loyo, dan tidak lagi mampu menjawab isu-isu kontemporer, pertanyaannya adalah apakah teks keagamaan itu yang “serba tidak meliputi”?
